A Note on "World Rhythms:"

"This version of 'World Rhythms" is a 2-channel mix down of a 10-channel work in which each of the sounds listed below is sent to an individual loudspeaker arranged around the perimeter of a large space:

pulsars earthquakes volcanic activity geysers mud pools rivers peepers fire and crows a storm on a lake human breathing waves gong resistance

These sounds are the aural aspects of energies of which we are only occasionally aware, but which powerfully influence and interact with even the smallest diurnal rhythms of our bodies, themselves particles in the whole mass of the world's energies……………….hearing the world as diverse and co-existing energies enfolded within one vast rhythm.

The gong player is conscious only of her inner physical responses to each stroke of the gong, striking again at the very edge of the final responsive inner ripple so that her sound is one aspect of an inner rhythm also."
